Cranston Manor is one of the first games in On-Line System’s “Hi-Res Adventures” series, along with Mystery House and The Wizard and the Princess. In the game, you must invade a mansion that was occupied by a late millionaire and steal the sixteen treasures that lie in it. Unlike most adventure games of its time, Cranston lets you switch between graphic and text modes. You perform actions in the game by only typing a one- or two-word command (eg: WEST, GET SHOVEL) , and you can save the game at any point in the game by inserting a disk and pressing a letter.
What I think:
Walking, walking, walking…that is the majority of this game…Lame.
However, you go to quite different locations and that is nice.
